hey guys, couple notes. on the earlier Sasuke’s with the spider climb as part of stage 4 (aka pre Makoto Nagano finish, sasuke 5-18) they had the spider climb move away at 15 seconds, in part, because they still dropped the competitors when time ran out. as of the mid 20s, safety reason-wise they stopped dropping the competitors down all the way, so they don’t do the moving spider climb walls anymore (and it’s cheaper that way too).
the obstacle you were referring to as the ibeam cross was the Spider Flip. It was part of stage three in the mid sasuke 20s. There was a much longer and higher climb up more wooden planks to get to the gap .
Hi Ryan,
Thanks for the additional information! Safety and budget reasons would seem to make a lot of sense for not dropping the competitors.
There is nothing worse than blanking out when you are recording. Sometimes we’ll stop, but we usually just push on. You know what obstacles we mean. lol
Thanks for listening,
Rich
Thanks for trying this. For some reason the podcast and video would not stay in sync. I enjoyed your commentary but ended up finishing the video without it. Thanks for the link.
